Grey Power Federation Elects New President

Gayle Chambers was elected to great acclaim as the new Federation President at the recent AGM held in Wellington.

Gayle and her husband Jeff have been members of Grey Power since they turned 50, and when asked “Why so young?” she replied “Because we could’. Both my husband and I felt that it was great organisation to support.”

Gayle joined the Grey Power Marlborough Committee soon after becoming a member and has held the roles of Secretary, membership, Vice-president, and has been President for 3 years. Concurrently she has served as the Zone 5 Director.

With significant experience working for not-for-profits such as Cancer Society, Marlborough Hospice Trust, & St John, Gayle brings a wealth of experience from other large volunteer organisations into her new role.

Gayle wants to see change that will benefit the organisation and the members that believe in what we do as the premier advocacy voice for seniors throughout New Zealand.

Gayle has a great deal of capacity and willingness to do the hard yards, along with the Board, to see that Grey Power continues to actively support seniors for many years to come.
